DESIGNING WITH OUR ROOTS

Urbanisation and environmental degradation have distanced humans from nature, reducing it to a resource rather than a living presence. While policies like Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 promote sustainability, they often overlook the need for ethical and emotional reconnection with the more-than-human world. This project reimagines human–nature interaction through responsive design, transforming spaces like Coney Island into sensory dialogues where vibration, touch, sound and movement foster ecological empathy and invite us to experience nature as a reciprocal partner.

NOISE OVER NATURE

Noise Over Nature is an awareness initiative designed to elevate consciousness about the disruptive effects of urbanization on nature and its tranquility. The project aims to push the boundaries of environmental campaigns with the use of contemporary technology and software with the consuming question "What if we can listen to Nature's Cries?". The recurring theme of Nature's Cries takes center stage in an outdoor installation, presenting an interactive, sound-reactive augmented reality exhibition. This immersive experience hopes to prompt an environmental response to initiate an aware consciousness.

REROOTED

ReRooted documents an experiential prototype that speculates a possible future where technology is used as an interactive tool to create an experience that aims to bridge our relationship with nature by connecting people with nature once again. This project and visuals are informed by the idea of harmony among energies between different entities, be it technology, human or nature.

ECHOES FOR TOMORROW - SINGAPORE DESIGN WEEK

This exhibition presents enquiries into how technology-enabled design can shape cultural experiences. Through a series of outcomes, it showcases how designers experiment, craft and formulate ideas about how to perceive, view and imagine future communication and interaction through their practice.

With a team of five, while assisted by our lecturer, Andreas Schlegel, we have planned, art directed the exhibition along with designing the space, prints and different collaterals required for this exhibition

ALGONATURE GENERATIVE TYPE

In this workshop focusing on typography as an output informed and transformed by code and change over time. How can we build systems in code to create generative type? Through a series of exercises exploring the generative, dynamic and playful potential of type, we have created a series of digital outputs presented in this online showcase.

Other Commercial Works

As a web designer, I crafted responsive B2B and B2C websites for SMEs and internal in-house projects—bringing digital ideas to life through close collaboration with developers. While some live sites may now wear new skins after rounds of revisions and iterations, the original frameworks are uniform beneath the surface.
